Complete Fallout Tactics Bunker 14 walkthrough: find power armor, disarm mines, and defeat the boss.
Walkthrough
- 1Continue SE to eliminate remaining guards and collect their items for experience points (XP).
- 2Head back NW towards the crux of the L-shaped area.
- 3Be cautious of two guards W of the crux; one carries a rocket launcher.
- 4Behind their position, find the stairs to ascend to the next level.
- 5Before ascending, search the cabinet in the westernmost room on the current level to obtain acid and incendiary grenades.
- 6On the upper level, you will encounter your first enemy in power armor wielding a flame weapon; maintain distance.
- 7Be aware of two more enemies in the NE hall with the power-armored foe.
- 8Loot the broken power armor from the fallen enemy; this is required to return to the inspector.
- 9Proceed NE down the hall, then SE down the next one, exiting into a room and then outside onto the steppe.
- 10Disarm the mine located in front of the boxes and loot their contents.
- 11Head SE, but be vigilant for numerous mines. The source notes that at 106% skill, disarming may be impossible, suggesting sniping or using grenades/dynamite as alternatives.
- 12You will reach a large building with double doors set into a cliff. This door is trapped, locked, and impassable.
- 13Instead, continue SE, grabbing the crate against the wall, and proceed past sandbags guarded by two enemies (use grenades on them).
- 14Enter the door at the end of the cliff. Use the doorway as (cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects)) and fire into the room at the enemies within.
- 15Loot the power armor from the enemy in this room.
- 16Use the control in this room to shut off the lights, if you deem it helpful.
- 17Cautiously exit into the hall, watching for an enemy with a browning machine gun. Avoid illuminated patches to prevent giving the enemy a clear target.
- 18The boss is in the final room. If the lights are off, they can be difficult to see, but will speak when you approach. Use rockets, grenades, or other heavy area weapons.
- 19Be mindful of an enemy near the entrance door who may ambush you. Use a hit-and-run tactic: step into the open doorway, fire, and retreat out of sight.
- 20After defeating the boss, loot their power armor and return to the inspector. The power armor will disappear from your inventory after the mission.
Tips
- Scavenge all items into vehicles for infinite inventory space, especially if you need to sell items for scrip.
- Fighting Reaver encounters in the waste is an effective way to gather money and pulse grenades. Reavers often carry 1-2 pulse grenades.
- Another suit of power armor may be available in Bunker 14.
- If you have trouble acquiring enough money, consider selling excess items and purchasing the available power armor sets. The source mentions having 97K scrip left after buying two sets.
- If mines are proving too difficult to disarm, use sniping or explosives.
