This guide details how to unlock Cuphead's secret black and white mode. This mode offers a pure 1930s cartoon aesthetic with vintage audio filters.

To unlock the secret mode:

1. Reach World 3 and speak to the turtle on the docks. He will challenge you to clear all platforming levels without killing any enemies.
2. Complete the following six platforming stages without defeating any enemies: Forest Follies, Treetop Trouble, Funfair Fever, Funhouse Frazzle, Perilous Piers, and Rugged Ridge.
3. Successfully completing a level without defeating enemies will result in a 'P' on the end-level flag.
4. After completing all six levels with a 'P' flag, return to the turtle in the World 3 hub to unlock the Black and White mode.

Additionally, to unlock a two-stripe filter:

• Speak to the fork wearing a monocle outside the world's shop.
• Achieve a Grade A or above on all boss battles. Occasional Grade B scores are acceptable, but aim for consistency.
