Learn to navigate the Map Screen in Metroid: Other M, including Sector Select and Status details. All items appear after Part 9.

Press the Plus Button to enter the Map Screen. The symbols on the Map Screen are identical to the ones used on the minimap (a small map displayed on your Heads-Up Display).

Menu Controls:

• Horizontal Style: D-pad to Select, 1 button to Cancel, 2 button to Confirm.
• Vertical Style: Pointer to Select, B button to Cancel, A button to Confirm.

Map Screen Options:

1. Sector Select: Displays Sectors you have visited. Pick a Sector to change the displayed map. Once you start Part 9 of the Walkthrough, all items will be displayed on the maps. Each Sector will also display the item completion percentage.
2. Status: Lists Samus's abilities, how they work, and how to use them.
3. Characters: Check profiles of the characters you've met. These profiles update after certain events.
