The Combat Armor talent tree in Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (ME1) focuses on increasing damage reduction, hardening, and unlocking powerful shield-restoring abilities. As you level up this talent, you'll gain passive bonuses to your defense and unlock active skills that can turn the tide of battle.

Shield Boost Power Levels

Shield Boost

This ability restores 30% of your shield per second for 2 seconds. It has a recharge time of 45 seconds and costs 30% Accuracy.

Advanced Shield Boost

An upgraded version, Advanced Shield Boost restores 40% of your shield per second, also for 2 seconds. The recharge time and Accuracy cost remain the same at 45 seconds and 30% respectively.

Master Shield Boost

The ultimate form, Master Shield Boost, restores 50% of your shield per second for 2 seconds. It shares the same 45-second recharge time and 30% Accuracy cost as its predecessors.

Talent Levels

The Combat Armor talent tree progresses through 12 levels, each offering distinct benefits:

• Level 1: Increases damage reduction and hardening by 5%.
• Level 2: Increases damage reduction and hardening by 8%.
• Level 3: Unlocks the Shield Boost ability.
• Level 4: Increases damage reduction and hardening by 10%. Unlocks the Fitness talent for Wrex (Krogan Battlemaster).
• Level 5: Increases damage reduction and hardening by 12%.
• Level 6: Increases damage reduction and hardening by 14%. Unlocks the First Aid talent for the Soldier class.
• Level 7: Increases damage reduction and hardening by 16%. Enables the use of Heavy Armor.
• Level 8: Unlocks the Advanced Shield Boost ability.
• Level 9: Increases damage reduction and hardening by 18%.
• Level 10: Increases damage reduction and hardening by 19%.
• Level 11: Increases damage reduction and hardening by 20%.
• Level 12: Unlocks the Master Shield Boost ability.
