Stuck on the UNC: Derelict Freighter assignment in Mass Effect: Legendary Edition? Follow our guide to navigate the ship, defeat the Husks, and find the logs to complete the mission.

Okay, so this one's a bit weird – the 'UNC: Derelict Freighter' assignment doesn't actually show up in your Journal until you've finished it. Kind of a backward way to do things, right? To get started, you'll need to have beaten the Thorian on Feros first. After that, head over to the Caspian system in the Maroon Sea cluster. Look for a ship called the MSV Cornucopia and land on it.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Once you're aboard the MSV Cornucopia, you'll be moving through some pretty empty-looking corridors. Eventually, you'll reach the main area. Be warned: the way forward is pretty cramped because of how the cargo is arranged.
  2. 2
Things get even trickier when you're ambushed by Husks. Seriously, there's not much space to move around, and their ranged attacks can easily hit you from behind cover. Your best bet is to take it slow and keep your Barrier ability active if you have it.
  3. 3
Pay close attention to your radar! A lot of these Husks will try to flank you. If you get caught between two of them, especially on higher difficulties, you're pretty much toast.
  4. 4
After you've dealt with the Husks in the main area, head into the back rooms. You'll find two rooms, one on the left and one on the right, that have some loot.
  5. 5
The door straight ahead leads to the cockpit. Inside, you'll find some logs that explain what happened to this freighter. Reading these logs will complete the Assignment.
Tips
  • Keep your Barrier ability up as much as possible when fighting the Husks, as the tight corridors don't give you much room to dodge.
  • Always keep an eye on your radar to anticipate flanking maneuvers from the Husks.
