On Chohe, in the northeastern part of the operational area, you will find an Anomalous Signal. Interacting with it reveals three lootable containers: a Locked Crate (requiring Easy decryption), a Technician Kit, and a Secure Wall Safe (requiring Average decryption). Each of these containers also provides a Matriarch’s Writings item.
To the northwest, you will encounter mercenaries. After defeating them, loot a nearby corpse to obtain map intel. Between Engine Debris and a Mercury Deposit, located in the southwestern and southern parts of the area, a Thresher Maw lurks. While there is no specific reward for defeating it other than experience points (XP), it presents a significant combat challenge.
In the southeastern corner of the map, you will find a Science Base. This location is where the assignment UNC: Besieged Base takes place.
