Guide to completing the UNC: Hades' Dogs assignment in Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (ME1). Learn how to find and destroy the Cerberus facility on Nepheron and what to do with the data.

Before you can even think about tackling Hades' Dogs, you need to get a couple of other assignments out of the way first. Make sure you've completed UNC: Missing Marines and its follow-up, UNC: Cerberus. You'll get these by chatting with Admiral Kahoku back on the Citadel.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Once you've got the assignment, hop over to the Columbia System in the Voyager Cluster. Your destination is the planet Nepheron.
  2. 2
As soon as you land, make sure you've got a Biotic specialist in your squad – trust me, you'll want their crowd control abilities. Then, hop into the Mako and head southwest. You're looking for an Underground Facility.
  3. 3
As you get close to the base, expect trouble. Four Cerberus Operatives will pop out – two with sniper rifles and two with anti-tank weapons. Keep your distance and let the Mako's main cannon do the heavy lifting. They're no match for it.
  4. 4
Once the coast is clear outside, drive into the facility. Head straight for the main room. Inside, you'll face a total of five Commandos and three Snipers. The snipers usually hang back, so don't just rush in blindly.
  5. 5
Before you engage, pop your Barrier ability if you have it. Your best bet is to try and lure the enemies towards your position near the entrance. This is where your Biotic squadmate really shines. Use abilities like Singularity, Lift, and Throw to disable them as they come at you, making it much easier to pick them off one by one. Having someone like Wrex in your squad to tank some damage while you focus on offense is also a huge help.
  6. 6
After you've cleared out the room, make your way to the back of the base. Look for a room on the right. Inside, you'll find four Storage Lockers (they're Easy Decryption), a Medical Station (also Easy Decryption), and an Upgrade Kit. Grab all the loot you can!
  7. 7
With your pockets full, head into the next room. You'll find a terminal here that will officially complete the assignment.

What to do with the Cerberus data:

Even though the assignment is technically done, there's one last step once you're back on the Normandy. You'll get a call from a Shadow Broker agent. If you decide to hand over the data, you'll earn some Credits and gain +9 Renegade points. If you refuse, you'll get +8 Paragon points instead. Choose wisely!
