Follow this Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (ME1) walkthrough to complete the UNC: Cerberus assignment. Investigate research facilities on Binthu and uncover the truth.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
To start the UNC: Cerberus assignment, you must first complete UNC: Missing Marines by speaking with Admiral Kahoku.
  2. 2
After completing UNC: Missing Marines, return to the Galaxy Map. You will receive a transmission from Admiral Kahoku with the coordinates for the next step.
  3. 3
Travel to the Yangtze System in the Voyager Cluster and land on the planet Binthu.
  4. 4
Upon arrival, open your map to locate three research facilities: north, east, and south of your position. You must clear all three.
  5. 5
Approach each facility carefully, as you will encounter Turrets on the exterior.
  6. 6
Northern Facility: Inside, you'll find Rachni Workers behind a forcefield. Use the nearby switch to disable the forcefield, causing the Rachni to fight the Cerberus operatives. Once the area is clear, interact with the console at the back to get information about the other bases.
  7. 7
Eastern Facility: This facility contains Thorian Creepers behind a forcefield. Release them to fight the Cerberus operatives. After the fight, loot the containers before returning to your Mako.
  8. 8
Southern Facility: The final facility houses a Rachni Soldier behind a forcefield. Release it to engage the operatives. After the battle, examine the body of Admiral Kahoku in the center of the room to complete the assignment. This will also initiate the next assignment in the chain, UNC: Hades' Dogs.
Tips
  • Utilize the forcefields to your advantage by releasing the research specimens to weaken or eliminate the Cerberus operatives, allowing you to engage fewer enemies.
  • Loot all containers in each facility to find valuable items and equipment.
