    To begin the Assignment, first complete the events at Noveria’s Rift Station.

    Travel to the Erebus system in the Styx Theta cluster. You will receive a transmission that starts the Assignment.

    Land on the planet Nepmos.

    Head southeast to find the Listening Post. A battle with the Rachni will be underway.

    Stay in your Mako and defeat the Rachni.

    Exit the Mako and speak with Lieutenant Durand in the center of the barricade.

    Choose to either stay in the Mako and blast Rachni, or use the Mako to power generators and activate turrets. The guide recommends staying in the Mako, parked between the center and right barricades.

    Use your primary fire for regular Rachni and switch to the cannon for groups.

    As you or your squadmates approach a Rachni Hole, Rachni will emerge. Be careful as you explore and destroy all 20 Rachni Holes for XP. Keep your distance to avoid Toxic attacks.

    After clearing the room, find two tunnels in the back.

    The north tunnel leads to a room with three regular Rachni and a Rachni Brood Warrior. Use Biotics like Singularity from the tunnel entrance to defeat the Brood Warrior.

    Head to the other tunnel. This room contains four regular Rachni and another Rachni Brood Warrior. Use the same tactics to defeat them.

    The Assignment will complete once the second Rachni Brood Warrior is defeated.
Tips
  • In Legendary Edition, it is easier to stay in the Mako for the Rachni waves.
  • Park the Mako between the center and right barricades for optimal positioning.
  • Use your primary fire for individual Rachni and the cannon for groups.
  • Repair the Mako and save your game between waves if needed.
  • Use Biotics to disable Rachni Brood Warriors, especially Singularity.
  • Keep your distance from Rachni Holes to avoid their Toxic attacks.
