Hey there! So you're curious about the Vanguard class in Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright? It's a pretty cool one, kind of like the Lodestar's opposite. You'll get access to this class by playing the DLC map called Vanguard Dawn. Think of the Vanguard as a strong and tough fighter, but they're not exactly the speediest. They come with a skill called Heavy Blade that really boosts their Strength and Speed, showing off their preference for hitting hard.

You'll also find Veteran Intuition, which gives you a nice little boost to your Critical Evade. It's good for avoiding those surprise critical hits from enemies, but remember, it's not a foolproof shield, so don't rely on it completely!

Then there's Aether, a really awesome skill that this class shares with the Great Lord class. It's like getting two powerful attacks in one! The first hit has a chance to heal you (like Sol), and the second hit has a chance to ignore enemy defenses (like Luna). And of course, there's Strengthtaker, which is exactly what it sounds like – after you defeat an enemy, your Strength gets a nice boost that can stack up to Strength+10 for the rest of the battle. Just a heads-up, Strengthtaker won't stack with Speedtaker or any other similar skills.
