Hemmed in Stone

Alright, so you've made it to Chapter 6 and are about to face a pair of tough enemies called Enki and Enlil. These guys are Woodwraiths, and they hit hard, but don't worry, we'll get through this together!

Enki & Enlil

First up, let's look at the bosses:

Enki

• Level / HP: LV 56 / 75,600 HP
• Strength / Magic: 133 STR / 171 MAG
• Stagger / Chain Res. / CP: 150% Stagger, 65 Chain Resistance, 500 CP
• Vulnerabilities: Lightning (Immune), Water (Weak)
• Drops: Riptide Ring (100% Common)

Enlil

• Level / HP: LV 56 / 70,200 HP
• Strength / Magic: 120 STR / 185 MAG
• Stagger / Chain Res. / CP: 150% Stagger, 65 Chain Resistance, 500 CP
• Vulnerabilities: Lightning (Immune), Water (Weak)
• Drops: Fulmen Ring (100% Common)

Warning: These guys have a nasty spit attack that inflicts Deprotect, making you way more vulnerable to damage. Keep an eye on your party's HP and don't hesitate to use Potions to heal up!

Strategy

• Start the fight by having Vanille cast Poison on both Enki and Enlil. Reapply it whenever it wears off.
• When they start getting low on health, they'll unleash area-of-effect attacks and powerful swipes. Switch to a 'Setup' paradigm to give yourself an extra healing edge.
• Here's a neat trick: If Enki uses a Water spell and Enlil is close enough, Enki can actually damage Enlil!
• To Stagger them, wait until Sazh casts Faith on your party and Bravery on himself. Then, switch to an offensive paradigm ('Assault' or similar) and land a few hits to build up the Chain Gauge. Once staggered, keep up the pressure.
• You'll likely need to Stagger each boss about twice to defeat them.

After the battle, you have a chance to obtain an Aegisol. Stick with it, and you'll overcome these Woodwraiths!
