Northern Highplain

The Northern Highplain is a large, open area on Gran Pulse. Your primary objective here is to progress through the chapter's story events, which will involve navigating the terrain and engaging in combat.

Pay close attention to your radar (your minimap with nearby blips and threats marked) (your minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen) with nearby blips and threats marked) to locate objectives, enemies, and points of interest.

Enemies in this area can range from smaller, aggressive creatures to larger, more formidable foes. Utilize the Paradigm System to switch between combat roles (Commando, Ravager, Medic, Sentinel, Saboteur, Synergist) effectively to overcome different enemy types.

Utilize cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) when necessary to avoid heavy enemy fire or to set up your next attack.

The area is vast, so be prepared for extended travel. Using a Chocobo, if available, can speed up traversal.
