Navigate the maze-like Grand Prix Circuit in Eden, Final Fantasy XIII. Find the Lionheart weapon and valuable Gil while facing tough enemies like the Bulwarker and Amphisbaena.
Alright, so you've made it to Eden! This next section is called the Grand Prix Circuit, and it's basically a big maze of walkways. Don't worry, though, just keep your eye on the target marker on your screen, and it'll guide you through.
You'll immediately run into a couple of Varcolaci flying around. They're pretty easy to blast through, so just keep moving towards that waypoint. Keep an eye out near a patch of orange flowers – you'll find a Sphere there containing the Lionheart weapon for Lightning. This is a great weapon because it lets you Stagger enemies almost instantly when they're close to the threshold, and you can even upgrade it later to get the Random Instant Chain ability!
Next up, you'll see a Bulwarker flying in circles near a big circular platform. These guys can be a real pain if they summon their Targeting Beacon, which lets them unleash a devastating Orbital Battery attack. If you see that beacon, prioritize destroying it to stop the Bulwarker's assault.
Now, if you look to the right of that circular platform, facing the waypoint marker, you'll spot another Sphere. This one's got a nice chunk of cash: 9,240 Gil. Grab that, and then just keep following the marker to get to the next area. You'll encounter various enemies along the way, including Corps Defenders (they're basically cannon fodder), Corps Stewards (weak to Fire), and the tough Sanctum Archangel which can really soak up damage and hit hard. Keep an eye out for Adamantherons and Sanctum Seraphs too, as they can buff your party with Haste and Bravery.
As you push further, you might face an Amphisbaena, which is immune to Earth but weak to Lightning and Wind. It's got a lot of HP and resists magic, so physical attacks are your best bet. Then there's the Proto-behemoth, which can change forms to heal itself and get stronger – it's weak to Ice and Water. Finally, you'll encounter The Proudclad, which halves most elemental damage and is immune to status effects, so just brute force it.
Suggested Abilities: While you're navigating this area, make sure to grab some key abilities! Lightning can learn Thundaga and Army of One as a Ravager, plus Stopga as a Medic. Fang should pick up Reprieve (Sentinel), Imperil (Saboteur), and Highwind (Commando). And for Hope, prioritize Curaja (Medic), Haste (Synergist), and Last Resort (Ravager).
