Dead Island 2: Complete Lending a Hand Quest

Alright, so you've chatted with Denise and now you need to help Luther out by finding his... uh... 'reeking bag.' Don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds, but you will need to venture into the Serling Hotel's basement. Let's get this done!

Walkthrough

First things first, head into the main area of the Serling Hotel. From there, jump down to the first floor and make your way to the stairs. Take them all the way down until you reach the bottom. You'll need your security card to get through the next door, so have that ready.

You're now in the basement! Go through the only gate you can open to the west. You'll see some blue-painted wooden panels blocking a gap in the wall on your left. Smash through those panels with any weapon you've got.

Head through the newly opened gap. There are a few bits of loot you can grab here before moving on to the next set of gates. Go through those, and you'll find yourself in an area with two white vans.

Go through the gates behind one of the vans and immediately turn left. You'll see some pallets – climb up them and then head through a hole in the wall above.

You're in the next room! Time to deal with some zombies. Once they're cleared, grab the red bag off the ground. This is Luther's reeking bag.

Now, you need to get back to Luther's run and give him the bag. Be warned, though – a lot of zombies are going to be coming your way. If things get too hairy, here's a pro-tip: you can throw the bag at the zombies! Its delightful aroma will distract them, giving you a chance to pick them off while they're busy sniffing around.

Tips

Don't be afraid to use the bag as a distraction if you're getting swarmed on your way back to Luther. It's smelly for a reason!
Make sure you have a decent weapon ready for when you enter the basement and the room where you find the bag – there will be zombies waiting.

Completing this quest will reward you with XP and likely some other goodies, but the main thing is helping out Luther and Denise!
