Follow our Dead Island 2 walkthrough for the Boz Makes a Bang side quest. Learn how to start the quest, find Boz, and defeat zombies using mortars for a rewarding conclusion.
Walkthrough
- 1To begin the 'Boz Makes a Bang' side quest, listen to the radio in the Serling Hotel lobby in Ocean Avenue after completing the 'Plumbing the Depths' story quest.
- 2After speaking with Hana on the radio, travel to Monarch Studios to find Boz.
- 3Locate Boz in Stage Room 05, in the center of Monarch Studios. Clear out the zombies present before speaking with him.
- 4Boz will be on a balcony above a war-themed studio room. He will ask for your help testing pyrotechnics on the top of the fort set.
- 5Make your way to the top of the fort set. You will find three sets of controls to detonate explosives in different parts of the set.
- 6The first detonation will attract a large number of zombies. Use the explosive controls, which have a cooldown, to eliminate as many zombies as possible. Time your detonations to maximize their effectiveness.
- 7Engage the remaining zombies with guns and curveballs. Prioritize shooting zombies before they reach the top of the fort.
- 8If zombies reach the top, try to manage them by standing near the paths leading up (left or right) and using Area of Effect (AoE) damage to clear multiple enemies at once.
- 9If you are taking significant damage, health items (energy drinks and snacks) are available on the left and right walls.
- 10The zombie types you will encounter include Crushers, runners, grenadiers, walkers, and shamblers. Use exploding grenadiers against other zombies for bonus damage.
- 11Once all enemies are defeated, speak to Boz to complete the quest.
