Your rival is back for a post-game rematch in Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee! Learn their Pokémon, movesets, and the best counters to win.
Alright, so you've beaten the Elite Four and become the Champion, but the journey isn't quite over! Your rival is back for a rematch, and this time, you're the one they need to beat. It's pretty similar to your last encounter, but they've beefed up their team a bit.
Here's a look at who you'll be facing and how to take 'em down:
| Pokémon | Level | Type |
| Mega Pidgeot | 66 | Normal/Flying |
| Rapidash | 66 | Fire |
| Vileplume | 66 | Grass/Poison |
| Marowak | 66 | Ground |
| Slowbro | 66 | Water/Psychic |
| Jolteon (Let’s Go Pikachu) | 67 | Electric |
| Raichu (Let’s Go Eevee) | 67 | Electric |
Your rival kicks things off with Mega Pidgeot, which now has U-Turn in its moveset alongside Air Slash, Heat Wave, and Quick Attack. It's still weak to Electric and Rock-types, so bring those along!
Next up is Rapidash. It's learned Drill Run to go with Flare Blitz, Poison Jab, and Quick Attack. This new move can hit Rock-types, so your Water and Ground-types are your safest bets here.
Vileplume is up next, bringing Dazzling Gleam to its usual Solar Beam, Sludge Bomb, and Reflect. Dazzling Gleam hits Fighting, Dragon, and Dark-types, but you'll want to counter Vileplume with Fire, Ice, Flying, or Psychic-types.
Marowak has swapped Bonemerang for Earthquake and added Thunder Punch to its Fire Punch and Brick Break. Earthquake is a big threat, but Water or Grass-types should still be able to handle it.
Slowbro has learned Blizzard to counter Grass-types, on top of its usual Surf, Psychic, and Light Screen. You'll want to hit it hard and fast with Electric or Dark-types before it can set up Light Screen and weaken your special attacks.
Finally, if you're playing Let's Go Pikachu, your rival will send out Jolteon. It's gained Shadow Ball to go with Thunder, Pin Missile, and Quick Attack. A Ground-type is your best bet to take it down.
If you're playing Let's Go Eevee, you'll face Raichu instead. It's learned Brick Break to go with Thunder, Iron Tail, and Quick Attack. Brick Break can mess with Rock-types, so while Ground-types are still good, be careful if they're also Rock-type.
Once you defeat your rival, you'll head back into the Hall of Fame. After that, you'll be back outside the Pokémon League, ready for whatever comes next!
