How to Obtain Platinum Clothing (Limited Time)

Hey there! So you're looking to snag that snazzy Platinum Clothing set in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, huh? It's a cool limited-time reward, and I can totally walk you through how to get it. It all comes down to unlocking the Mystery Gifts feature in the game.

The actual Platinum Clothing set you get will look a bit different depending on whether you chose Lucas or Dawn as your character. But don't worry, the process to unlock it is the same for everyone!

You'll eventually get access to the TV station in Jubilife City, and that's where the magic happens for Mystery Gifts. However, you can't just waltz in there on your first visit. You'll need to do a couple of things first.

When you first arrive in Jubilife City, chat with the very first person you see. They'll give you a little quest to find three clowns scattered around the area and get coupons from them. Once you've done that and received your Pokétch, you can actually ignore the TV station for a bit and head off to challenge the first Gym Leader, Roark.

After you've taken down Roark and proven your strength, your friend will tell you to head back to Jubilife City. As you make your way there, specifically on Route 204 just a bit north of the city, you'll run into two Team Galactic grunts. You'll need to team up with Lucas or Dawn for a double battle against them. Don't worry, it's not too tough!

Once those grunts are out of the picture, you'll finally be able to get into the TV station. Head on up to the third floor. Find the man standing furthest south in the room. He'll ask you about your preferred TV channel. Make sure you select the option that says, “EVERYONE HAPPY WI-FI CONNECTION.”

Doing that will unlock Mystery Gifts as a new option in your main menu. From there, you can connect to the internet and claim your awesome Platinum Clothing set, along with that super rare Manaphy Egg!

How to Wear It

Now, about actually wearing your new threads… sadly, you can't put on the Platinum Clothing right away. You'll have to hold onto that stylish gear until you reach Veilstone City. Once you get there, you'll find a clothing store that'll let you change your appearance and finally show off your new outfit!
