Alright, so you've made it to Ramanas Park and you're looking to snag Zapdos. This electric-type legendary bird has some solid stats and a great typing, making it a popular choice. Let's get you ready to catch it!

Zapdos Stats & Typing:

• Level: 70
• Type: Electric / Flying

Zapdos really shines with its Special Attack, but it's also got pretty robust overall stats and a defensive typing that's hard to beat. It's a versatile Pokémon, for sure.

Zapdos's Moveset:

• Thunder: High damage, but accuracy can be a bit iffy.
• Zap Cannon: Hits hard and guarantees paralysis, but only has a 50% accuracy.
• Magnetic Flux: This move doesn't actually affect Zapdos itself.
• Detect: A one-turn protection move.

Strategy to Catch Zapdos:

You've got a couple of good ways to approach this:

• Option 1: Ground-Type Powerhouse. Field a strong Ground-type Pokémon. Zapdos's Electric attacks won't do anything to them! Just remember, since Zapdos is also Flying-type, your Ground-type will need some non-Ground moves to actually deal damage back. Minun and Plusle are immune to paralysis, which is a big deal since Zapdos's Zap Cannon is a guaranteed paralyzer. They aren't the strongest attackers, so this is more for fun or if you're really struggling with other methods.

Important Notes on Status Conditions:

• Zapdos is an Electric-type, so you can't paralyze it.
• Your best bet for a status condition is Sleep.

Catching Zapdos:

Once Zapdos is weakened (and ideally, asleep!), it's time to start throwing balls. Your best bets are Ultra Balls. If you're patient and the battle goes on for 10 turns, Timer Balls become a great option.
