Welcome to Bherna Village, the starting point for your adventures in Monster Hunter Generations! It's a beautiful mountainside location packed with essential facilities and some really important characters you won't find anywhere else. Think of it as your home base, where you'll find everything you need to prepare for your hunts.

As you explore, you'll notice the usual village amenities: a kitchen to cook up some tasty buffs, the smithy for crafting and upgrading gear, a market and armory for supplies, and your personal home to store items and save your progress. But Bherna holds a few special spots you'll want to get familiar with.

Keep an eye out for the Master of Style, who hangs out near the Smithy. This guy is crucial because he's your gateway to unlocking and upgrading powerful Hunting Arts. He'll want to chat with you as you progress, so make sure to talk to him whenever you can. He's also your go-to for checking out all the Hunting Arts you've unlocked so far.

Over in the center of the village, you'll find the Chief Researcher from the Wycademy. He'll guide you early on with your first few tasks and is key to filling out your Monster Book, the game's encyclopedia. Make sure to visit him regularly to fill out those monster entries – perfect for any completionist!

Don't forget about the Palico Ranch, which is the main hub for your feline companions. It's packed with important NPCs:
