Welcome to Kokoto Village, the very first village you'll encounter in Monster Hunter Generations! This place has a long history, first appearing in the original Monster Hunter and making comebacks in subsequent titles. It's where your journey truly begins.

After you've taken down the mighty Rathalos in the solo campaign, head back to your house. You might find a mysterious sword there, which actually kicks off a whole new series of quests for you to tackle. Just like any good hub, Kokoto Village is packed with all the essential facilities you'll need: the smithy for crafting gear, your personal house, the kitchen for preparing meals, and the market for supplies. Plus, it's conveniently located near the Verdant Hills, making it a great starting point for your adventures.

Keep an eye out for the Kokoto Chief. This wise, aged Wyverian is a retired hunter and often has village requests for you. Make sure to chat with him whenever you can; he's got plenty of experience to share, even if he's sidelined by an injury.

You'll also notice familiar faces from past Monster Hunter games popping up in Kokoto Village. These characters stick around as long as you're playing and often have their own requests for you. It's a nice touch of nostalgia and a great way to get extra tasks!
