Complete 6-star Key Quests in monster hunter generations, including hunting Gore Magala, Tigrex, Seregios, Brachydios, and Shagaru Magala.
- 1Dark Wings, Dark Work
Hunt a Gore Magala in the Jurassic Frontier. Subquest: Wound Gore Magala’s feelers. Gore Magala spreads powder that can infect you. If the infection bar fills, you get debuffs, but if you attack aggressively, the effects are reversed for buffs. Gore Magala has two rage stages; the second involves darkened skies and erect feelers. Damage Gore Magala enough to snap it out of this mode before the feelers can no longer be hit.
- 2Tigrex by the Tail
Hunt a Tigrex in the Dunes. Subquest: Mount and topple monster twice. Tigrex is aggressive and charges up to three times when enraged. Its roar can also damage you at close range when enraged; High Grade Earplugs negate this. Completing this quest and the 5-star village quest “The Thunderclaw Wyvern” unlocks the 6-star village request “The Hero’s Journey”.
- 3A Thousand Scales of Dread
Hunt a Seregios in the Dunes. Subquest: Deliver 1 Wyvern Tear. Seregios uses its hind legs to kick while flying and can inflict Bleeding status by flinging scales. If scales hit you and then explode, you will bleed. If you get hit but move away before the explosion, you will not bleed.
- 4Brachydios Mio!
Hunt a Brachydios in the Deserted Island. Subquest: Sever Brachydios’s tail. Brachydios uses slime that explodes on contact or after a short delay. Blastblight is indicated by glowing powder on your body; rolling removes it, and getting hit while afflicted causes the slime to explode for extra damage. When enraged, the slime explodes almost instantly. The end of Brachydios’s tail is hard and may bounce weapons. Completing this quest unlocks the 6-star village quest “Break the Brachydios”.
- 5URGENT: Stop the Wheel
Slay a Shagaru Magala in the Sanctuary. Subquest: Break Shagaru Magala’s horns. Shagaru Magala’s horns are always erect and easier to break. When enraged, it flies up, roars, and causes random purple spots on the ground to explode, often targeting your position. You cannot return to base camp except by Farcaster.
- 6URGENT: The Fated Four
Hunt all large monsters (Gammoth, Astalos, Mizutsune, Glavenus) in the Forlorn Arena. There is no subquest. You face the four flagship monsters one at a time in a reskinned Sanctuary map. After each monster falls, you have about 45 seconds to carve, sharpen, and heal.
