Dual Blades

Dual Blades focus on offense with fast combos and quick movement.

Use standard attacks (X, A, X+A) to build damage and fill the Demon Gauge.

Press R to enter Demon Mode, increasing attack power at the cost of stamina.

In Demon Mode, land attacks to fill the Demon Gauge and unlock Archdemon Mode.

Archdemon Mode allows new combos and increased attack speed without stamina drain, but depletes the Demon Gauge.

In Archdemon Mode, you can re-enter Demon Mode to refill the Demon Gauge and theoretically maintain Archdemon Mode indefinitely.

Use the forward dash attack (X from unsheathe) to close distance and initiate combos.

For Guild Style, equip two Hunting Arts of your choice.

For Striker Style, you lose Archdemon Mode but gain three Hunting Arts and generally stronger attack power; bring Dash Juices or Mega Dash Juices.

For Aerial Style, vaulting off monsters triggers Demon Flurry in Archdemon Mode. Press X+A off a ledge for a Demon Flurry. Lose evasive roll for a forward somersault. Manage stamina carefully as it's very stamina-hungry. Perform X+A on the ground in Demon or Archdemon Mode for a forward spinning attack. Equip one Hunting Art.

For Adept Style, a perfect evade in Demon Mode triggers a Demon Dance, greatly filling the Demon Gauge. In Archdemon Mode, a perfect evade triggers a Demon Flurry and two free Demon Dashes. Perfect evasion in Archdemon Mode still builds the Demon Gauge, allowing for prolonged Archdemon Mode duration. Equip one Hunting Art.
