Quest Tiers: Quest Basics

Hey there, hunter! So you're diving into Monster Hunter Generations and wondering about all these quests? Let's break down the quest tiers so you know what you're getting into. Think of it like climbing a ladder – each step up means tougher challenges and better rewards!

Quest Ranks: Low vs. High

The biggest split you'll see is between Low Rank and High Rank quests. High Rank is the tougher challenge, obviously. Monsters in High Rank have way more health, hit a lot harder (so you'll definitely need better armor!), and often gain new attacks or move faster. It's all about scaling up the difficulty as you progress.

Climbing the Stars: Key and Urgent Quests

Within both Low and High Rank, quests are organized by star difficulty. To move up to the next star level, you'll need to complete specific Key Quests. You don't *have* to do every single quest in a star tier, but it's a good idea to practice and grab those rewards. Once you clear the Key Quests for a star, a special Urgent Quest will pop up. These are pretty tough, often featuring a monster that's actually one star *higher* than your current tier. It's basically a skill check to make sure you're ready for the next set of quests. Beat the Urgent Quest, and bam! You'll unlock the next star tier, and that Urgent Quest will be added to the list so you can replay it if you want.

Village vs. Hunter's Hub

A quick note on the village campaign: it doesn't really have a true High Rank section like the main game. All the dedicated High Rank action happens in the Hunter's Hub. However, the village does have Advanced Quests in its final tier that feature monsters with High Rank power and give High Rank-level rewards, so don't skip those!
