Need help with the Healer's Oath errand in Horizon Zero Dawn? Follow our guide to find Ghaliv, defeat a Thunderjaw for its heart, and save Shianah.

Alright, so you're heading towards Sunfall and want to help out some folks? Just outside the main entrance, you'll find a refugee who's got a problem: his sister, Shianah, is sick. The local healer isn't much help, so Aloy steps in to see if she can convince him. Your first step is to head south from the campfire just outside Sunfall. Just keep following that road, ignoring any turns, and head straight south.

You'll eventually hit a three-way split. One path goes south, another southeast, and one heads north. Take the northern path – it'll lead you to a settlement called Blazon Arch. Here you'll meet Ghaliv. He's willing to help, but he needs a Thunderjaw Heart. He mentions one can be found in the Valley of Omens. After you talk to him, head back to that three-way split you just passed.

From the split, head back north towards Sunfall, but don't go all the way. Instead, take the path heading west. Follow this trail, and it'll lead you right to the entrance of the valley where you'll find your Thunderjaw. Keep an eye out as you enter the valley – there's a Metal Flower here, and it's a good idea to grab it. The image shows it on the left, and the Thunderjaw Heart you need is on the right.

Now, about that Thunderjaw. It's the only thing in the valley, and it's a tough one, so be prepared. You can find more details on its page, but here's the quick strategy: focus on destroying its Disc Launchers first. Those things pack a serious punch! While you're dodging its attacks, try to rip off the plating around its heart – that's a major weak spot. The Ropecaster, especially the Shadow version, is super useful for immobilizing the Thunderjaw, giving you a clear shot at its weak points. The Valley of Omens isn't the biggest arena, so you might want to lure the Thunderjaw a bit further north to give yourself more room to maneuver. Once you've taken down this massive machine, make sure to loot its Heart. Then, it's time to head back to the tent camp at Sunfall. Find Ghaliv, give him the Heart, and then speak with Abas to wrap up this errand.
