Metal Flowers are a type of collectible found throughout Horizon Zero Dawn. There are 20 Metal Flowers in total, divided into two sets of 10. Finding them often requires revisiting earlier areas or exploring off the beaten path. Some may require specific abilities or progression through main quests.

Set 1 Metal Flowers:

1. A) The Ruins: Return to the Ruins you explored as a child. Progress to the bottom and find stairs leading up. To the east, break through stalactites with your spear to reveal a hidden room containing the Metal Flower.
2. B) Rost's Cabin Area: Go to the cabin where Rost raised you and exit through the back, heading west. Take the nearby zipline, then walk across the tightrope to find the Metal Flower on a ledge.
3. C) West of Nora Hunting Grounds: Located slightly northwest of the Nora Hunting Grounds, on a hill near some broken-down cabins.
4. D) War-Chief's Trail Area: Accessible during the War-Chief's Trail main quest. From the pit where you fight humans and Corrupted Watchers, head northeast to the base of a mountain. Use your Focus to locate the Metal Flower.
5. E) MIRIAM Ancient Vessel South: From the MIRIAM Ancient Vessel, head south until you encounter two Sawtooths. Defeat them and look for a dilapidated building with two walls; the Metal Flower is inside a corner.
6. F) The Bunker: Found inside The Bunker, where you can obtain the Shield-Weaver Outfit. After entering the large opening and descending into the water, it's in a clearing on the way to the armor.
7. G) Devil's Grief South: From the Devil's Grief icon (northeast), go south to the campfire, then east/northeast. Near a Corrupted Sawtooth and ruined buildings forming an archway, the Metal Flower is on the northeastern side.
8. H) Northeast Snowy Area: In the northeast corner of the map, in the eastern half of the snowy area. Near a campfire with Glinthawks, look south/southeast to find the Metal Flower.
9. I) Valleymeet West: Find Valleymeet Hunting Grounds, head west to Hunter's Gathering. Take the southeast road, then the south/west fork. Near a Broadhead Site and two hills, look west of the western hill, in an area with trees and pink flowers.
10. J) Hunter's Gathering South: West of Hunter's Gathering is a Scrapper Site. Go south from there to a bridge, cross it west, and look for a path to higher elevation. After crossing a waterfall, look northwest for an alcove containing the Metal Flower.

Set 2 Metal Flowers:

1. A) Free Heap Southeast: Southeast of Free Heap, along the mountainside, just past some Scrappers and near a tree.
2. B) Dawn's Sentinel Island: Southeast of Dawn's Sentinel gate, on an island in a body of water with a Snapmaw site.
3. C) Lone Light North: West of Lone Light settlement, follow the river north. Look west for a path to continue north; the Metal Flower is at that fork.
4. D) Shattered Kiln West: Southwest of Shattered Kiln Bandit Camp, between three machine sites. Head west from the Shell-Walker Site, find a path through rocky terrain leading to Glinthawks and footholds; climb to the nest to find the Metal Flower.
5. E) Sun-Steps Valley: In a small valley west of Free Heap or northeast of the Sun-Steps Tallneck, near the northern of two Thunderjaw sites.
6. F) Cauldron Zeta East: East of Cauldron Zeta, follow the river east to another campfire. East/southeast of there are rock formations with mesas. In the southeastern portion, find a path to the top where the Metal Flower is located.
7. G) Pitchcliffs North: Exit Pitchcliffs heading north. Follow the river north to its bend eastward; the Metal Flower is on a small ridge on the eastern bank.
8. H) Sunfall Southwest Valley: In a valley southwest of Sunfall, where the Healer's Oath errand takes place. Before confronting the Thunderjaw, look for the Metal Flower.
