Hey there! So you want to deck out Rab in some snazzy new outfits, huh? You've come to the right place! Dragon Quest XI S has some really cool costumes for him, but they're mostly tied to crafting. That means you'll need to find specific recipes and gather a bunch of materials. Don't worry, I'll walk you through exactly what you need for each one!

The Sun Lord

This is a pretty sweet one! To get the recipe for this costume, called Kit Fit for a King, you'll need to collect 30 Mini Medals and turn them in at the Mini Medal Academy. Once you have the recipe, you'll need these materials to forge the two costume pieces: Gold Ore (x3), Platinum Ore, Red Eye, Silkblossom (x2), Magic Beast Hide, and a Green Eye. Get ready to do some serious crafting!

The Grandest Master

This costume is a neat little bonus exclusive to the Definitive Edition! Once you're in the second part of the game, make your way up Mount Pang Lai. At the very top, you'll find a small shrine. Right next to the person there, you'll spot a chest. Open it up, and you'll find the Grand Master’s Garb – that's the whole costume!

The Sun King

For this regal outfit, you'll need another recipe: Corking Kit for Kings. You get this by successfully completing the third trial in the Wheel of Harma. Once you've got the recipe, gather these items to forge the costume pieces: Slime Crown, Fire Ball (x2), Equable Emerald (x2), Colourful Cocoon, Technicolour Dreamcloth (x2), and Royal Ruby (x2). It's a bit of a list, but totally worth it!

The King of the World Tree

This one sounds pretty epic, right? The recipe you need is called What a Wonderful World Tree. You'll find it in a chest located within The Sage’s Trial - The Fierce Forest. To forge the gear for this costume, you'll need: Slime Crown, Royal Ruby (x2), Gold Nuglet (x2), Yggdrasil Leaf, Silkblossom (x3), Gold Bar, and Glimmergrass (x2). Happy forging!

The Sun God

Almost there! For the Sun God costume, you'll need the recipe A Guide to Godly Getup. This one's a bit trickier to get – you have to complete the final trial in the Wheel of Harma (not the secret one!) in under 40 turns. If you manage that, you'll get the recipe. Then, you'll need to gather these materials for the costume pieces: Slime Crown, Fire Ball (x2), Spectralite (x2), Technicolour Dreamcloth, Crimsonite, Kaleidocloth (x3), Uber Agate of Evolution, Serpent’s Skin (x2), and a Dieamend. Phew, that's a lot, but you can do it!
