Walkthrough: The Wheel of Harma
The first four trials are generally manageable, especially with Veronica’s Magic Burst and your high level.
The First Trial
Suggested Party: Hero, Veronica, Jade, Serena
- Battle 1: Use the Hero and Sword Dance to defeat the Deadly Dragon in one turn (aim for over 1000 HP damage).
- Battle 2: Use Serena and Jade. Start with Jade’s Pink Tornado, then use Serena’s Kathwack. This should take no more than two turns.
The Second Trial
Suggested Party: Hero, Erik, Jade, Hendrik
- Battle 1: Have the Hero use Gigagash to defeat the enemies in one turn.
- Battle 2: Use Jade and her Pink Tornado to hit all enemies.
- Battle 3: Use Hendrik and Serena. Serena should use Kathwack, while Hendrik uses Gyrfalcon Slash.
The Third Trial
Suggested Party: Jade, Sylvando, Rab, Veronica, Hendrik, Serena
- Battle 1: Select Jade. Use Pink Tornado and finish remaining enemies with regular attacks.
- Battle 2: Use the Hero. Make use of Gigagash, as enemies are weak to Lightning.
- Battle 3: Use Rab and Serena. Rab should use Pearly Gates or Kacrackle, and Serena should use Kathwack.
- Battle 4: Use Hendrik and Veronica. Veronica uses Magic Burst, followed by Hendrik using Gyrfalcon Slash.
The last two trials are significantly more difficult and exclusive to Act III. Careful use of character combinations and abilities is required to pass them within the turn limits.
The Fourth Trial
Suggested Setup: Veronica, Serena, Rab, Erik, Jade, Sylvando, Hero, Hendrik
- Battle 1: Select Veronica, Serena, and Rab. Use Magic Burst to defeat them all in one turn.
- Battle 2: Use Erik’s Critical Claim on each Hardy Hand while Hendrik uses Gyrfalcon Slash on the Clangoustine.
- Battle 3: Use Jade and Sylvando. Jade uses Pink Tornado while Sylvando uses Gold Rush or passes turns to her.
- Battle 4: Use the Hero. Make use of Sword Dance on the Red Giant.
The Final Trial
Suggested Party: Hero, Erik, Jade, Sylvando, Hendrik, Veronica, Serena, Rab
- The first battle may require many attempts to achieve within the turn limit.
- Use Hendrik’s Gyrfalcon Slash to drain the Shadeshifter’s HP before finishing them all off.
- Use Haulellujah before Electro Light to boost experience gain.
- Use Dirge of Dundrasil to put Metal Slimes to sleep, allowing for guaranteed Critical Claims and Lightning Thrusts.
- Veronica’s Magic Burst is highly effective in the Wheel of Harma trials.
- Jade’s Pink Tornado is useful for hitting multiple enemies.
- Serena’s Kathwack is effective against many enemies in the trials.
- Hendrik’s Gyrfalcon Slash is a powerful attack for single targets.
- The Hero’s Sword Dance is effective against single, strong enemies.
- The Hero’s Gigagash is effective against groups of enemies weak to Lightning.
