Walkthrough
- 1In Octagonia, find the yellow Tockle near the green slot machines by the desk in the casino's upper floor to receive the pastword for Briscoletti's Mansion.
- 2Upon entering Briscoletti's Mansion, take the Guns ‘n’ Buns book from the bookshelf to your right.
- 3Speak to the NPC at the north end of the table to accept the quest The Bane of the Briscolettis.
- 4Talk to the NPC in the southeast corner to learn the monster responsible for the curse went to the Altar of Reverie - Alltrades Abbey.
- 5Travel to the Altar of Reverie - Alltrades Abbey.
- 6In the room on the left side of the map, speak to the monster and choose “Yes” to initiate a boss battle.
- 7Defeat the Pilferpithecus boss.
- 8Return to Briscoletti's Mansion.
- 9Speak to Rodrigo to receive your reward: a Gold Bar.
- 10Open the chest to Rodrigo's left for 2000G. The chest to his right is locked.
- 11You can optionally speak to Briscoletti for a mock-up wedding ceremony.
- 12Speak to Bianca on the right side of the table before leaving.
Tips
- Pilferpithecus uses normal attacks, a double-hit claw attack, an ice-based attack that can hit for over 110 damage, Kasnooze to put the party to sleep, and Kaboom, a Light-damage spell that hits the entire party for around 150 damage.
- Consider equipping accessories that grant ice resistance or protection against sleep (like Rousing Rings reworked to +3).
- Rab or Sylvando are recommended for healing duty during this fight.
- To damage Pilferpithecus, use your strongest abilities and spells. It has approximately 1750 HP.
- Have Sylvando use Oomphle on the Hero and Jade, then have them use Unbridled Blade and Multithrust, respectively.
