Explore Emily's powers in Dishonored 2, including Domino, Doppelgänger, Far Reach, Mesmerize, and Possession. Learn about their upgrades and functions.

Domino

Domino is one of Emily's abilities, allowing you to link human targets' fates together. If two guards are linked, affecting one affects the other. Upgrades allow you to link up to four targets. This provides an advantage when outnumbered or in difficult stealth situations. The range of Domino is limited, and affected targets will have white orbs of light above their heads with a line connecting them.

  • Upgrades: 3
  • Cost: 4 runes
  • Functionality: Link human targets' fates together.
  • Upgrades: Link Three (up to three targets), Link Four (up to four targets).

Doppelgänger

Doppelgänger is a stealth-oriented power for Emily that lets you summon a shade to mislead and distract foes. Shades can be upgraded to confuse foes when slain (temporarily incapacitating them) or to fight and assassinate unaware enemies. Enemies who kill a doppelgänger will resume a less alert state. Summoned shades attract foes and trigger security systems just like Emily. This can be combined with Domino, as whichever foe slays the linked Doppelgänger will instantly perish.

  • Upgrades: 5
  • Cost: 4 runes
  • Functionality: Summon a shade that can distract enemies.
  • Upgrades: Baffling Shade (confuses foes when slain), Deadly Shade (shades can fight and assassinate), Transposition (switch places with doppelgänger), Twin Shades (summon two shades).

Far Reach

Far Reach is Emily's basic skill, a counterpart to Corvo's Blink. It is primarily used for traversing cityscapes and moves farther laterally than vertically. Upgrades allow you to pull objects to you, decelerate time while falling when aiming Far Reach, pull enemies to you, and conserve momentum for longer travel distances. Using Far Reach to pull enemies is noisy and not ideal for stealth, but can be combined with Domino. When used in stealth, it functions like Blink.

  • Upgrades: 4
  • Cost: 0 runes
  • Functionality: Pulls the user across a distance.
  • Upgrades: Pull Objects (pulls objects to user), Decelerate (slows time while falling), Pull Enemies (pulls foes to user).

Mesmerize

Mesmerize is one of Emily's more expensive skills. It summons a Void spirit to enthrall humans and hounds, temporarily incapacitating them for about 20 seconds. They will forget about the experience afterwards. The spirit enthralls those nearest to it, so positioning is important. Upgraded versions can enthrall up to four targets at once and extend the skill's duration.

  • Upgrades: 4
  • Cost: 6 runes
  • Functionality: Summon Void spirit to enthrall humans and hounds.
  • Upgrades: Mesmerize Three (up to three targets), Lasting Mesmerize (extends duration), Mesmerize Four (up to four targets).

Possession

Possession is a power used by Corvo, allowing him to possess enemies or animals. It has 5 upgrades.

  • Upgrades: 5
  • Cost: 4 runes
Tips
  • Combine Domino with Doppelgänger: Link an enemy to your summoned shade. If the enemy kills the shade, they will die instantly.
  • Use Far Reach for momentum: When running, using Far Reach can send you flying further than normal, useful for traversing large gaps.
  • Mesmerize for stealth: Use Mesmerize to temporarily remove groups of enemies from your path, allowing for easier stealth passage.
  • Domino range is key: Be aware of the limited range of Domino, as targets may wander out of the effect area.
