Walkthrough
  1. 1
Enter the Tyranno Lair and proceed straight ahead, defeating Cave Apes and Reptites.
  2. 2
Go north, enter the right skull, and descend the stairs.
  3. 3
In the next room, go south, defeat Reptites, then go right and press the switch to free prisoners.
  4. 4
Continue east, defeat more Reptites, and descend the stairs.
  5. 5
In the new room, go south and west to find prisoners being harassed by Reptites. Defeat the Reptites and proceed through the now-open gate.
  6. 6
Talk to Kino, who was trapped. Ayla will break the gate. Open the chest inside the jail for a Mid-Ether.
  7. 7
Head back upstairs and follow Kino through several rooms.
  8. 8
In the first room of the lair, Kino opens the left skull. Go through it and head upstairs.
  9. 9
In the next room, you can either fight the enemies on either side or step on the floor switches to drop them into a pit.
  10. 10
Head east and south through the right door. Defeat the enemies and enter the next room.
  11. 11
Open the first chest for a Hi-Potion; the second chest is a trap.
  12. 12
Return to the room with enemies and floor switches. Go west through the west door.
  13. 13
Defeat the enemies outside and enter the next room. This room contains hidden warp tiles and enemies. Use the provided map (link in source) to navigate and collect the Mesozoic Mail, Triceratopper, Potion, and Athenian Water. Reach the upper-left area and continue north.
  14. 14
Head south to the next room.
  15. 15
Go east, defeating enemies. Enter the open room on the other side.
  16. 16
Step on the right floor switch to open the skull head in front of you. Stepping on the left switch opens the head but also releases enemies.
  17. 17
Go through the skull head and hit the switch on the wall. Return south to the previous room.
  18. 18
Go west and defeat the Avian Rex and Terasaur. Enter the middle room that has opened.
  19. 19
Defeat the Volcanites and Reptite that appear. Enter the room and talk to Nizbel.
  20. 20
Rest/save at the save point. Continue towards the stairs. You will fight Nizbel II. Rest and save again after the battle.
  21. 21
Continue up the stairs. Head south to the outside area.
  22. 22
Go south and east, defeating enemies. Enter the next room to the north.
  23. 23
There are three floor switches: left (creates pits), right (summons Terasaurs), and middle (reveals a save point, accessible only if pits are not created).
  24. 24
It is recommended to hit the middle switch for the save point. Press A at the skull head to open it and enter the small room inside.
  25. 25
Hit the switch on the wall to open the middle room outside. Open the chest for a Hi-Ether. Save your game if desired.
  26. 26
Go west and north, then defeat the Terasaurs that attack.
  27. 27
Continue into the next room. You will meet Azala. A roaring sound will be heard, and Azala will run off.
  28. 28
Open the two chests for a Mid-Ether and a Triceratopper.
  29. 29
Return to the room with the save point to recover and save.
  30. 30
Go north to the next room and fight the Black Tyranno.
  31. 31
After the battle, Azala speaks, and Kino and dactyls arrive. Your group flies out as Lavos crashes. The group leaves the area after a scene at the ruins.
