Phases:

1. Part 1: The Onslaught

   The Dream Devourer starts by unleashing devastating attacks. Its defense is high, making it hard to damage. It also counters by completely draining your MP. You'll need to heal frequently (Frog is great for this) and stick to regular attacks.

2. Part 2: The Opening

   Eventually, the battle plan changes, and its defenses will be lowered. This is your chance to hit it with your strongest attacks and Techs. However, it will counter by trying to confuse your party, making status ailment protection essential. It will also start storing power for a massive attack after a couple of rounds. Keep your HP near maximum and recover your MP during this phase. If you have Robo equipped with the Apocalypse Arm, a few critical hits can end the fight here.

Strategy:

• Preparation is Key: Be at least level 60. Equip gear that prevents status ailments (like Haste Helm or Prism Dress) and allows for counter-attacks.
• Heal Constantly: You'll need to heal almost every round, especially in the first phase.
• Conserve MP (Initially): Since the boss drains MP, focus on regular attacks until its defenses drop.
• Exploit Lowered Defenses: Once its defenses are down, unleash your strongest Techs and attacks. Now is also a good time to recover MP.
• Status Ailment Protection: This is CRUCIAL for the second phase when it tries to confuse your party.
• Manage HP: Keep your HP as high as possible at all times due to the boss's powerful attacks.
• Use Items Wisely: Don't hesitate to use Megalixirs if needed. You should have plenty of money saved up.
• Robo's Apocalypse Arm: If you have this specific weapon equipped on Robo, a few critical hits can quickly end the battle.
• Finish Strong: Keep pummeling the boss with your best abilities until it's defeated.
