Phases:

1. Phase 1: Defeat the Arms

   You can't really damage Lavos's head at the start of the fight. Your main goal here is to take out both of its arms first. They're the key to progressing.

2. Phase 2: Attack the Head

   Once the arms are gone, you'll be able to deal significant damage to Lavos's head. This is where the real fight begins.

Strategy:

• For the first phase, focus on using your strongest multi-target Techs. If you have Crono and Ayla, their Falcon Strike Dual Tech is fantastic. Otherwise, powerful spells like *Luminaire or *Dark Matter are your best bet to hit both arms simultaneously.
• Lavos will try to hit your party with status effects, so keep an eye on your HP and MP. Be ready to heal immediately if anyone gets afflicted.
• Once the arms are down, switch your focus to the head. Keep unleashing your strongest attacks and Techs.
• Don't be afraid to use a Megalixir if your party's HP and MP are running low. It's better to use one than to get wiped out.
• Watch out for Lavos's blazing attacks – they can deal a ton of damage. Heal up quickly after these big hits and get back to the fight.
• Just keep up the pressure with your strongest abilities and manage your resources, and you'll take this form of Lavos down!
