Guide to beating the Nu Master on Mount Emerald in Chrono Trigger (600 A.D.). Find treasures like the Rainbow Helm and Turbo Ether, and learn the path back to the village.
Alright, you're back on Mount Emerald in 600 A.D., and it's time to push further west. You'll find a new ladder to climb up. Keep heading west from there, and you'll spot a chest. Open it up to snag an Athenian Water. Keep pushing through, taking out any enemies that get in your way.
Once you reach the top, there's a save point. It's always a good idea to save your game here, just in case! Then, head west into the next section. Follow the winding path until you come across a series of bridges. You'll want to go southwest from here and climb down a ladder. Down below, there's a chest waiting for you with a Rainbow Helm inside. Grab it, then make your way back up and cross those bridges.
After crossing the bridges, you'll find another chest. This one holds a Turbo Ether, which will be super handy for restoring your magic. Keep going until you reach the top of this area. Head east from there to find one more chest containing a Mermaid Helm. Before you tackle what's next, make sure to heal up your party members. Then, climb the final ladder to the next area.
You've reached the summit, and guess what? The Nu Master has been waiting for you! This is a tough fight, so if you're struggling, definitely check out the Bosses section for tips on how to take it down. Once you finally defeat the Nu Master, it'll fall asleep right in front of the bridge. Go ahead and save your game again. Now, head south, making your way back down the mountain, through the glade, and all the way back to the Village. You've earned a break!
