Phases:

1. The Steel Shade will counter every single attack you inflict on it.
2. As the battle progresses, it will start countering with stronger attacks.
3. It will also begin using some strong light elemental attacks.

Strategy:

• The Steel Shade is weak against the Shadow element. If you have Magus in your party, his Dark Matter tech will deal significant damage.
• Keep your party's HP high at all times. The Steel Shade attacks frequently and strongly, and its counterattacks can quickly wear you down.
• If Frog is in your party, have him use Heal every couple of rounds to keep everyone topped up.
• The Steel Shade's Scintillation ability can deal several hundred HP of damage to your entire party, so maintaining high HP is crucial to avoid a game over.
• Consider using Techs that hit the target multiple times, such as Crono's Frenzy. This can help end the battle a little sooner, reducing the number of times you have to deal with its counters and powerful attacks.
