Limited Wish Quest

First things first, you'll need a Wand of Frost. You should have picked one up in the opening dungeon. If you somehow missed it, don't worry! You can buy one from Arledrian, who hangs out on the second floor of Gaelan Bayle's home.

Now, if you have a Scroll of Limited Wish and a Mage at level 14 or higher, you're ready to kick this off. Cast the Limited Wish spell and choose the option for a one-time wish. For your wish, type in "for an adventure like none I've ever experienced before".

After your wish, you'll receive a note addressed to someone named Vittorio, sent by Captain Dennis.

Your next stop is Delosar's Inn in the Bridge District. Head inside and you'll find Vittorio.

Vittorio will explain that Captain Dennis owes him money for some gong lessons. Agree to help him out, and he'll lead you further into the inn. Captain Dennis, however, has a completely different story.

Vittorio will eventually confess that he actually stole the gong. If you keep things friendly, he'll spill the beans and tell you he sold it to Roger the Fence. You'll need to head to the sewers beneath the Temple District to find Roger. Look for him in the southern tunnel. When you ask about the gong, he'll mention that he sold it to a troll shamaness.

Next, select the Druid Grove from your world map. Make your way to the Troll Mound, located in the western part of the area. There you'll find the troll shamaness, Grae.

Grae isn't going to hand over the gong easily. You'll need to fight her a bit until she becomes more cooperative. She'll eventually tell you that she sold it to Drush, an Ogre Mage who resides in the Ogre Tower in the eastern part of the grove. Don't bother trying to kill her for XP; you won't get any.

Head over to the Ogre Tower. Once you find Drush, ask him about the gong. He'll reveal that he's been using it as a shovel for cow dung. If you tell him you want to return it to its rightful owner, he'll offer to trade it for a Wand of Frost. Agree to the trade – it'll cost you 12250 XP.

Now that you've got the gong, return to Delosar's Inn and give it back to Captain Dennis.

As a reward, you'll receive 1500 gold and the Boomerang Dagger +2 (this is assuming you didn't steal it earlier in the game). On top of that, each member of your party will gain 16500 XP, and you'll unlock the 'To the Limit' trophy.
