Hey there! Welcome to the walkthrough for Routine. This guide is gonna help you get through the game, figure out all the puzzles, and snag those achievements. We'll cover everything from your first steps to the very end. Just remember, Routine has some intense moments like jump scares and gore, so be prepared!

The main tool you'll be using is your C.A.T. tool. You get it right at the start and it's pretty versatile – you can use it to interact with terminals, connect to Access Points, fight off enemies, fix magnetic distortions, and even reveal fingerprints on keypads if you find the right module. To power it up, you'll need to find blue batteries scattered around. Each battery gives you three uses, so always keep an eye out for more.

Saving your progress in Routine is done through Wireless Access Points. These look like static holographic screens you'll find in specific spots. Just use your C.A.T. tool to connect to one and select 'Save Data'.

You can get all 14 achievements in a single playthrough. Most will come naturally as you progress, but a few might require you to go a bit off the beaten path. We've got a separate page for achievements if you want more details on those.

You can play Routine with a keyboard and mouse or a controller. We'll be using keyboard and mouse controls here, but you can check the in-game Controls Menu for your platform if needed.

For movement, you'll use WASD. To interact with objects or pick them up, press E or M1 (left mouse button). Press F to zoom in and get a closer look at things. Need to move faster? Hold SHIFT to sprint. Use Ctrl to crouch, and the Spacebar to lean around corners.

Your C.A.T. tool is key for most actions. Press R anytime to bring it up and check your battery level or see its command buttons. The three-line button connects to nearby Access Points, and the button to its right fixes magnetic distortions. To use the C.A.T. tool for combat or interacting with terminals, hold M2 (right mouse button) to aim, then press M1.
