Alright, so you've stumbled upon the Vending Machine (3) area. It's a bit of a quirky spot with some interesting NPCs and, of course, items to buy. Let's break down what you can snag here and what's going on.

Items Available:

• Shells Prize: Horn-Z
• Spare Shell: 1 for 10G
• Spare Shell x 7: 70G
• Blast Shell: 1 for 25G
• Piercing Shell: 1 for 30G
• Poison Gas Shell: 1 for 30G
• Napalm Shell: 1 for 50G

You'll notice two hoodlums hanging around the Vending Machine. You can chat with them, but if you're feeling a bit cowardly and stay in your tank, you might even get a title for it! Seriously though, talk to everyone here. It really gives you a feel for how nasty these guys can be. Just a heads-up, these particular NPCs won't repair, sell, or save your game, so don't expect any of that service from them.

Over in the bar, you'll find three video games. The ones on the left and right are 'Crossfire,' and the one in the center is 'Frog Race.' If you buy a drink for the girl in the bar, she might give you some info about Lead Mushrooms. Don't expect her to tell you what to do about them or where to find a tank wash, though. Oh, and if the thugs are around when you visit, she won't be there – you'll only be able to talk to the thugs instead.

The hut on the far left is pretty bare, except for a lovesick fan of Nana's. In the inn, the right-hand room has chests of drawers where you can grab a Pine Towel and Pine Soap for free. The inn also houses the Memory Center and a helpful massage man. You'll also find a guy standing in front of a chest outside the left room in the inn; he's a permanent fixture, even if you come back after dealing with the hoodlums.
