Discover the services offered at The Inn and Bar in Risk of Rain Returns. Find healing, recruit a new ally, and prepare for a challenging bar brawl.
The Inn and Bar is the northern building in town. The Inn offers a single option: the Plum Room, costing 10 gold per person. While it provides healing, be aware of a mosquito. The massage man can be found in the Plum Room, and the item Para-Non is located in the first chest of drawers.
Downstairs is the bar, populated by many people, including soldiers dressed identically. These soldiers are generally disliked, and the other patrons are vocal about it. A transfer machine is accessible via a ladder through the south door.
The bar also features a Jukebox. A unique girl stands at the bar, but she will only speak to players at level 15 or higher. At lower levels, she is dismissive, but at level 15, she will engage in conversation.
To initiate an event, talk to the flame-haired girl and agree to have a beer. If you accept her offer to take her seat, she will provoke the soldiers by insulting them. This leads to a fight against six soldiers, with the girl assisting you.

| Attacks | Wag a finger, Try to provoke, Escape |
Effective weapons against the Delinquents include Hand Grenades and Flame Bottles. Note that you cannot target individual enemies, and they possess protective gear that must be broken before they take damage. The soldiers have two Blaze Bottles that can be thrown at the group. If you are not strong enough, they may escape after a short time. With optimal equipment, such as the SMG UZi which targets all enemies simultaneously, you can defeat them within three to four turns to earn the Silver Earring.
Following the battle, Red Wolf will escort everyone out of the bar. Upon returning, you can speak to the girl again and recruit her to your party. She is a Soldier, a capable on-foot fighter, and joins at level 5 with default equipment: Bow Gun, Camouflage Fatigues, Leather Gloves, London Boots, and a Barrier Seal.
After the battle, speaking to the bar regulars provides additional dialogue. You can also talk to Caesar, who will mention Red Wolf. Avoid selling the Silver Earring to the fence, as she will offer a poor price.
Consider renting a tank for your soldier before departing. While you can keep her on foot, renting a tank like the Sherman is recommended. It's also advisable to purchase head armor and upgrade her weapon, though you may wish to wait until reaching Rocco or a nearby trader camp.
Note on Recruitment: While the typical requirement for the soldier to speak and join is level 15, some players have reported success at lower levels. This may be dependent on attack strength. Equipping Hunter with the best available weapon, such as the Laser Rifle (attack power 86, superior to the SMG UZI or Red Peony's Dagger at 48), might facilitate her recruitment at lower levels.
