Guide to navigating the Scorched Factory in Risk of Rain Returns. Find items like the Beam Blaster, ID Card, and powerful tank cannons, and defeat the Salmonella Gang.
Walkthrough
- 1Return to Canabelle and speak with the villagers about the forest fire to the east.
- 2Ensure you have a Hydro Pot. If not, visit Santa Poco's Tool Store.
- 3Drive east from Canabelle towards Leorad until you encounter the burning forest.
- 4Use a character and select the Hydro Pot item to extinguish the fire.
- 5Drive over the burned trees to reach the Scorched Factory.
- 6Use a Lock Hacker on the entrance gate.
- 7Inside Scorched Factory: It's recommended to explore with a tank in tow to manage excess weight from tank weapons. Equip tanks with Para-Non for Virus Bats and consider the First Aid System.
- 8Ground Floor: Drive up the main room, keep left, and go through the narrow opening. Continue up and right to find a ramp down.
- 9B1: Go down the ramp. Turn left and defeat the two Beam Sceptres. Continue past the broken computer. You'll find a Card Machine but don't have the card yet. Drive right to find a ramp down. Before descending, explore the passage to the far right to unlock a door leading to an area with stopped conveyor belts. Go left past the conveyors, then down to the bottom wall, and descend another ramp. Drive right a short distance to find a wooden box containing the Beam Blaster (Autogun Power 200).
- 10B2: Return up the ramp from B1 and head straight, then right past conveyors to the far right wall, and up to find the first ramp you ignored. This leads to B2. Drive down to the wall, then left to find a wooden box with the ID Card (t). This is needed for the machine on the first floor. If you drive left where the next ramp goes down, there's a room accessible only on foot with nothing inside.
- 11Salmonella Gang: The room with the wooden box containing the ID Card is also where you'll likely find Salmonella HQ.
- 12Attacks: Squeezed the nozzle and fired (attacks one), Cranked the fuel nozzle and fired his gun (attacks all).
- 13Reward: 99,800G
- 14Experience: 25,000
- 15Drops: 3 gold, Superhuman Gloves
- 16Strategy vs. Salmonella Gang: Sleeping Gas Shell can be effective, causing them to sleep for one round. Hollow Shell can destroy their protection. Their gun attack deals around 18-20 Sp damage to each tank. Hollow charge and main guns deal 700 HP damage. Thunder Blast Autogun is also effective. This is an easy fight with tanks.
- 17B3: The next ramp leads to B3. Dummy Shelters are in small rooms off the corridor. At the far left end, find a wooden box with a 175 mm Cannon (2.90t, 10/10, 700 Power). From the ramp, head down and then left to find another wooden box with a 195mm Cannon (3.00t, 15/15, 720 Power). The next small bay to the left contains the 165mm Ghost.
- 18After collecting these items, you may need to return to Canabelle to sort out tank equipment due to weight limits.
