Part 3. Basement (with tanks)

Preparation: Ensure you have repair kits to fix tank damage, especially to chassis and parts. The On-Board Tool: Electromagnetic Barrier is highly recommended to prevent electrical damage. An ambush-preventing tool and SE combination is also useful. Consider towing a tank to maximize item collection. Keep a supply of LL-Plate packs. Use the Dog System to exit the building to the world map.

Basement Navigation: Falling into whirlpools leads to the floor below. Drive to the central ramp and back up to the lift passage. You will encounter a Manlion enemy.

Box 2: L-Plate Pack

Box 3: V100 Kong Engine

Box 4: 5177 gold

Exploration and Loot: Head right and down to a wooden box before a sand whirlpool (contains L-Plate Pack). Go left and down through two broken gates, edge around the whirlpool to the right to open the box. Continue right and up to another wooden box on the south side of the whirlpool (contains V100 Kong Engine).

Further Exploration: Fall down the whirlpool near Box 4. Use the Metal Detector on the four nearby stones to find an item. Walk to the stone on foot to get the Assault Armour for Soldier. Drive right, past the central ramp, to a collection of seven stones. Use the Metal Detector here and walk to find the Guard Knuckles arm armour for Soldier only. (Falling down the whirlpool near Box 1 also leads to these stones).

Guardian Encounter: Retrace your steps and head left, then up to collect the contents of Box 4. Continue up the passage into a grey area with two Guardian enemies. These are relatively easy to defeat; the Thunderstorm Autogun can neutralize them quickly.

Attacks: Fires a blaster (one), fires a heat beam (all)

Powering Up: After defeating the Guardians, head left down the ramp. Continue past two locked doors until your tanks must stop. Get out and go right over the rubble, then down the ladder. Walk left to a green plate on the wall and switch the power ON. This opens both sets of doors.

Final Loot: Return to your tanks and drive through the left door. Open four wooden boxes to receive: Battle Knuckles, Rain Cyclon (tank weapon), 1046 gold, and 220mm Gaia (tank weapon).
