Don't let the virus turn you into a zombie! Learn how to cure infection in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City using antiviral sprays, class abilities, and smart team tactics.

So, you've been hit by one of those nasty virus-carrying enemies, huh? It happens to the best of us in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. When you get infected, things get rough: you can only walk, your vision turns all blue and blurry, and your health starts ticking down. If your life gauge empties completely, you'll turn into a zombie and start attacking your own teammates! Then, one of your buddies has to put you down and revive you.

But don't panic, there are ways to fight back against the infection. The quickest fix is an Antiviral Spray. Just pop one of those bad boys and you're good to go. If you're playing as the Medic, your special ability, "Neutralize Infection", can also clear it right up.

It's not just about curing yourself, though. The Field Scientist class has a unique ability called "Induce Infection". This lets you infect enemies and then even control them when they turn into zombies. Pretty handy for turning the tables!

When a teammate is infected, you'll see a purple biohazard symbol floating above their head. Be careful, though – you can actually damage them with your weapons while they're infected. And here's a grim tip: if they're really low on health and you don't have an antiviral spray handy, it might be better to shoot them in the head to put them down quickly, then revive them. Dealing with a rampaging zombie teammate is way worse than a quick revive.

To use an Antiviral Spray on yourself, just press D-pad down. If you need to help out a teammate, make sure they're right in front of you and close by when you activate the spray. Stick together, and you'll overcome the infection!
