Key Attacks:

• Tail Sweep: Swings tail around its body, covering three quarters of a circle.
• Flip Slam: Replaces head with tail, slamming it down; may do this twice.
• Wing Pounce: Hops back, faces side to player, then launches forward with wing several times.
• Needle Shot: Holds tail above head, aimed at hunter, and shoots a volley of needles.
• 360 Sweep: Quickly spins on the spot with tail outstretched.
• Invisible Slashes: Many swipes accompanied by the beast turning invisible.

Recommended Strategy:

The Lucent Nargacuga requires a strategy similar to the Barioth. It is a greater threat at range due to its aimed Needle Shot, and its tail slam is dangerous to those attacking its head. Move more than when fighting a Barioth and try to keep the Lucent Nargacuga at arm's reach, as its tail can appear quickly if you run straight at it. Take advantage of its downtime between attacks, especially after a tail slam where its tail gets stuck in the ground, to move close and deal damage, preferably under its belly. Use Flash Bombs to stun it regularly. The Lucent Nargacuga is faster than its green cousin and its tail inflicts poison. Its tail swishes can fill the arena with spikes. The ideal position is right under the Narga, which is difficult but achievable by keeping mobile. A high Evasion skill is recommended. When the Narga uses a move and is close to you, move underneath and deal damage.
