• Head, Tail: High Durability (Large Lurch effect)
• Neck, Wings (x2): Medium Durability (Large Lurch effect)
• Body: Very High Durability (Large Lurch effect)
• Legs (x2): High Durability (Knockdown effect)

Breakable Parts:

• Left Horn: Breaking decreases Head Durability.
• Right Horn: Breaking decreases Head Durability again, yields Extra Rewards.
• Tail: Damage with Cut Weapons to break. Effect is removing the Tail Tip, allowing for an Extra Carve.

Rage Effects: Attack increases to 140%, Speed increases to 140%. Defence remains unchanged.

Key Attacks:

• Charge: Black Diablos lowers its horns and stampedes. Faster and more brutal when enraged.
• Body Slam: Black Diablos hops back, turns side-on, and slams its weight forward.
• Tail Whip: Black Diablos spins its tail around itself, dangerous due to the tail barb.
• Tail Slam: Black Diablos raises its tail and slams it down twice, once left, then right.
• Tunnel: Black Diablos burrows underground, moves beneath a hunter, and bursts upwards.

Recommended Strategy:

• Keep an eye on the Black Diablos' tail at all times.
• Attacking the legs is viable, but be wary of frequent charge attacks.
• Focus on one or two hits then dodge movements. Stay roughly under the Black Diablos' rear and move with her.
• When you see black smoke from its grunt, it is enraged. Run and keep your distance until the state passes.
• Fights can be long due to resistances and power against traps. Play carefully.
• The Black Diablos is a buffed-up version of the male Diablos, with boosted power and speed. Be diligent with dodges and guards, and wary of enraging.
