The Barroth is a large wyvern native to the Sandy Plains. By swimming around in the mud, it can create a layer of “mud armour”, used to protect itself from attacks. Its key attacks include ramming with its giant head and violently shaking mud off its back.

Key Attacks:

• Charge: Barroth charges towards the player, aiming at their current position. Keep moving.
• Mud Toss: Barroth shakes its head, throwing rocks that inflict Muddy.
• Tail Swipe: Barroth swings its tail clockwise in a 180-degree arc, potentially multiple times.
• Head Slam: Barroth slams its head, throwing mud clumps that can inflict Muddy.
• Rock Hurl: Barroth digs its head into the ground and hurls a single boulder.

Strategy:

• Target the Barroth's legs, as they are the optimal area of attack for most weapons and keep you away from its head.
• Be wary of the Barroth's shake ability, as being inflicted with Muddy can lead to being caught in more damaging attacks. Pack Cleansers.
• When enraged (head steaming), Barroth becomes faster and more lethal, especially its charge attack. Attack fleetingly and let it calm down.
• After a charge, the Barroth's tail will swing around, damaging anyone nearby. Be mindful of this when attacking post-charge.
