Weak Spots: Belly (Cut/Impact), Tail (Cut/Bullet)

Susceptible: Fatigue, Poison, Sleep, Paralysis

Strong Against: Fire

Weak Against: Ice

Part Durability:

• Head, Tail: High Durability, Large Lurch Effect
• Neck, Wings (x2): Medium Durability, Large Lurch Effect
• Body: Very High Durability, Large Lurch Effect
• Legs (x2): High Durability, Knockdown Effect

Breakable Parts:

• Left Horn: Break by decreasing Head Durability.
• Right Horn: Break by decreasing Head Durability again for Extra Rewards.
• Tail: Break by damaging with Cut Weapons to remove Tail Tip for an Extra Carve.

Rage Effects: Attack +140%, Defence No Change, Speed +130%

Key Attacks:

• Charge: The Diablos lowers its horns and stampedes towards you.
• Body Slam: The Diablos hops back, turns side-on, and slams its weight forward.
• Tail Whip: Diablos spins its tail around itself, potentially multiple times, with a dangerous tail barb.
• Tail Slam: The Diablos raises its tail and slams it down twice, once to the left and again to the right.
• Tunnel: The Diablos tunnels underground, moves beneath you, and bursts from the ground upwards.

Recommended Strategy:

Keep an eye on the Diablos’ tail at all times. Attacking the legs is a viable tactic, but be wary of its frequent charge attacks. Focus on one or two hits before dodging, and try to stay roughly under the Diablos’ rear, moving with it.

When the Diablos starts to grunt black smoke, it is enraged and extremely fast. Keep your distance, run around it, and wait for this state to pass. Fights against Diablos can be long due to its resistances and power against traps, so play carefully.
