Play as a Team: Remember that all players share the same success and failure conditions. The group has a total of three faints; once these are used, the quest fails for everyone. This makes careful play and avoiding unnecessary risks paramount to prevent being the cause of a group failure.

Mind Your Positioning: In multiplayer, it's easy to accidentally hit your teammates with your weapon. While minor hits are usually harmless, larger attacks can knock allies away, which can be annoying and put them in danger. Choose your attack targets on a monster carefully, aiming for parts where your teammates are not positioned. It's better to focus on one part and then reposition than to crowd around the same area.

Consider Ranged Combat: While challenging in single-player, bow and bowgun weapons shine in multiplayer. Ranged hunters are less likely to obstruct their teammates and can focus on their aim while the monster is distracted by other hunters. Filling the role of a ranged hunter can make you unique within a group.

Utilize Support Roles: While Monster Hunter isn't a traditional MMORPG with strict team builds, it offers squad-aiding elements. The Hunting Horn is a prime example, capable of providing significant buffs to the team through its note system. For instance, Stamina buffs from a Hunting Horn can greatly benefit allies using weapons like Dual Blades or Hammers.

Don't Neglect Preparation: Even with a full team, thorough preparation is vital. Ensure everyone eats a meal, brings Mega Potions, Nutrients, bombs, and traps. With four players, this means potentially four sets of flash bombs and traps, significantly increasing your group's utility and preparedness. Smart use of the Farm can also ensure a large stock of essential combat items.
