Duramboros is a giant wyvern that feels at home in forested environments. Its deadliest asset is its massive tail, which it uses for clubbing its prey. Keen-eyed hunters should aim for its humps, as breaking them will expose its weak spot.

Habitat:

• Deserted Island: 5 (Spawn), 7 (Rest), 9
• Flooded Forest: 1, 2, 7 (Spawn), 10 (Rest)
• Misty Peaks: 4, 5 (Spawn), 6, 7, 9 (Rest)

• Weak Spots: Broken Hump, Tail (Bullet)
• Susceptible To: Poison, Sleep, Dizzy
• Strong Against: Water
• Weak Against: Fire, Thunder

• Head/Horns, Arms: High Durability (Lurch)

Breakable Parts:

• Horns, Hump: Breaking these parts yields Extra Rewards.
• Tail: Can be broken twice. The second break weakens Tail Attacks and allows for Mining and Carving the tail.

Key Attacks:

• Spinning Top: Duramboros slams its tail and rotates, slowly chasing the hunter. Can end with a sudden stop or by launching itself through the air.
• Tail Slam: Duramboros raises its tail and slams it down, causing a tremor that staggers nearby hunters.
• Charge: Duramboros lowers its head and charges at the hunter.
• Flip Slam: Duramboros leaps into the air and crashes down, dealing huge damage underneath.
• Launch: Duramboros throws its tail forward, dragging its body through the air towards a distant hunter.

Recommended Strategy:

• Stay away from the tail. Duramboros often tries to get its tail above the hunter.
• Standing around its feet is generally safe, even during a Spinning Top attack.
• Target its humps for the best damage. Breaking them exposes a red core that enhances damage further.
• Use a Pitfall Trap when targeting the humps for uninterrupted damage.
• Flash Bombs are effective, especially against the Spinning Top move.
• If Duramboros gets into the air, run away.
