Master the Hades and Ice Colossus boss fight in Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX! Learn their weaknesses, attack patterns, and strategies to claim victory and awesome rewards.

Alright, you've made it to Part 141! This section is all about a pretty intense boss rush against Hades and his pal, the Ice Colossus. We'll break down how to take them both down and snag some sweet loot. Let's get you prepped!

Boss Fight: Hades and Ice Colossus

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Hades: HP 450, Strength 16, Defense 9. Immune to Freeze. Weak to Physical (x1.0), Fire (x0.5), Blizzard (x0.5), Thunder (x0.75), Dark (x0.75).
  • Ice Colossus: HP 400, Strength 16, Defense 9. Immune to Ignite. Weak to Physical (x1.0), Fire (x1.25), Blizzard (x0.5), Thunder (x0.75), Dark (x0.75).

Phases:

  1. Phase 1: Ice Colossus

Hades chills on the sidelines for now, so your main target is the Ice Colossus. It's pretty vulnerable to Fire attacks, so spam those Fire Strikes and Triple Firagas! Keep an eye out for its Iceball attack – just dodge those. When it turns, it'll stomp and create shockwaves, so jump over those. Its Groundpound attack also creates a shockwave, so be ready to leap.

  2. Phase 2: Hades Joins the Fray

Once the Ice Colossus is toast, Hades will join the party. He's got a few moves: a basic melee attack that's easy to dodge or block, and a Fireball. For the Fireball, use your Barrier command to reflect it back at him for some good damage! His last attack is Flamethrower, where he spins around shooting fire. Just back away or circle him; you can interrupt this with attacks, so don't be afraid to get in close with your Keyblade and deal damage.

Strategy:

  • Bring a good mix of Fire and Blizzard attacks to your deck before this fight.
  • Don't provoke Hades until the Ice Colossus is defeated.
  • Use Fire magic heavily against the Ice Colossus.
  • Dodge the Ice Colossus's Iceball, shockwaves, and Groundpound.
  • Reflect Hades's Fireballs with Barrier.
  • Keep attacking Hades with your Keyblade when he uses Flamethrower.

Prizes:

  • Dimension Link: Zack
  • Command Style: Diamond Dust
  • Keyblade: Mark of a Hero

After this tough fight, you can head back to the Olympus Coliseum and talk to Phil to duel Hercules in the 'Break the Urns' minigame. If you beat it within 30.59 seconds, you'll earn a [SONIC BLADE] command! Pretty neat, huh?

Unversed Mission: Shade Jelly

Before you jet off, there's a quick Unversed Mission you might want to tackle in the Town Near Thebes. You need to defeat 300 Shade Jelly enemies.

  • Reward: Stopga
  • Time Trials:
    • 1 Star: 1'00"00+
    • 2 Star: 0'31"00 - 0'59"00
    • 3 Star: 0'00"01 - 0'30"59

Strategy: Stack your deck with area-of-effect commands like Magnega, Meteor, Mega Flare, and Thundaga. Just unleash them on the Shade Jelly swarm!
