Conquer Part 14 of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX! Guide yourself through the West Wing, defeat the Beast, and master the Shadow Stalker and Dark Thorn boss fights.

Alright, let's dive into Part 14 of your Kingdom Hearts adventure! We've got some familiar foes and a couple of tricky bosses ahead, so stick with me and we'll get through it.

First up, after dealing with the Gargoyle Knight, you'll want to grab the [AP BOOST]. Then, head into the West Wing. Clear out any Heartless you find lurking there. Keep an eye out for a [CHEST] that holds a [TENT], and make sure to snag [HEART #12], which is a puzzle piece. Further on, another [CHEST] sits atop some steps, containing a [MYTHRIL SHARD]. Once you've got all that, it's time to head to Beast's Room.

BOSS: Beast

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • HP: 156
  • Strength: 15
  • Defense: 8
  • Level: 13
  • Immune to magic.

Strategy:

  1. When the fight starts, you'll notice Beast is pretty aggressive. Don't worry too much about dealing direct damage at first.
  2. Your main goal is to use Cogsworth's Reaction Command, 'Wake Up'. This will stun Beast, giving you a window to attack him freely.
  3. Beast will use slashes and bites, and sometimes a roar that temporarily incapacitates Cogsworth. Just keep dodging and wait for another 'Wake Up' opportunity.
  4. Once you've whittled down his HP, Cogsworth will have another Reaction Command available: 'Charge'. Mash the Triangle button when prompted to finish the fight.

After that encounter, you'll need to find [AWAKENING #6], which should be your last puzzle piece for this set. There's also a [CHEST] containing a [BLAZING SHARD]. Once you've got those, head back to the Entrance Hall. You'll run into a new type of enemy there.

Enemy: Lance Soldier

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • HP: 62
  • Experience: 35
  • Drops: Frost Shard (10%), Energy Stone (4%)

Strategy:

  • The Lance Soldier's main threat is its speed. Its rush attack can be tough to dodge, but you can counter it with the 'Lance Tug' Reaction Command. This is super useful for taking them down quickly.
  • Watch out for its spinning attack – if you get caught, you'll be immobilized and open to a lot of damage. Try to dodge away from this.
  • If you're facing multiple Lance Soldiers, using magic like Blizzard or Thunder can help thin the herd before they overwhelm you.
  • Remember, even though it looks like one enemy, the Lance and Soldier are technically separate, but you treat it as a single target.

Feel free to level up a bit in the Entrance Hall if you feel you need to. Then, make your way into the East Wing and head for Belle's Room. Approach the dresser, and then proceed to the Ballroom for your next boss fight.

BOSS: Shadow Stalker and Dark Thorn

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Shadow Stalker HP: 176
  • Dark Thorn HP: 390
  • Strength: 15
  • Defense: 8
  • Level: 13

Strategy:

  1. Phase 1: Shadow Stalker Possessions
    • Wall Possession: When it takes over the wall, get behind the columns on the sides to avoid its attacks.
    • Chandelier Possession: Run in tight circles around the chandelier to dodge its energy beam, then attack when you have an opening.
    • Column Possession: Find the column it's on and avoid its flailing attacks.
    • Floor Emergence: When it bursts from the floor, time your jump to get away from the impact zone.
  2. After you successfully counter its possessions, you'll get the 'Release' Reaction Command. Use this to strike the Shadow Stalker directly.
  3. Phase 2: Dark Thorn
    • Once the Shadow Stalker is defeated, it transforms into the Dark Thorn. This phase is less about gimmicks and more about direct combat.
    • Focus on attacking the Dark Thorn, especially when it's invisible. This will trigger the 'Stepvault' Reaction Command.
    • Successfully using 'Stepvault' leads to two more commands that let you smash into it, making it visible and vulnerable.
    • If the Dark Thorn starts spinning, either get out of the way or use the Reaction Command to hit it back.
    • Using your Limits and Valor Form here can really speed things up and help you take down the Dark Thorn quickly.

Keep at it! Part 14 throws a few curveballs, but with these tips, you'll be through it in no time.
