Master the Trinity Armor boss fight and defeat the Masked Boy with this Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX guide. Get tips, strategies, and item rewards.

Alright, let's dive into Part 138 of our Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX journey! This section covers two major encounters: the Trinity Armor boss and the Masked Boy. We'll also touch on some exploration and item collection afterwards.

Trinity Armor Boss Fight

You'll first face the Trinity Armor, which starts as a single, connected unit. It's got a few key attacks you need to watch out for:

  • Fire Rain: It shoots fireballs that rain down and explode on impact. Just keep moving and try not to be where they land!
  • Charge: This is a three-hit dash attack. The best way to avoid this is by using Barrier or a well-timed Cartwheel.
  • Trinity Laser: The armor moves to the center and charges up a powerful laser. This attack sweeps across the area, so you'll need to Cartwheel through it to dodge.

Once you deal enough damage or it uses the Trinity Laser, the Trinity Armor will break apart into separate pieces. They'll start spinning, which is a great opportunity to use a Shotlock. You'll see the legs stomping, the arms flying around, and the head spitting fireballs. Your best bet is to focus on the arms and legs first, as they're easier targets. Eventually, the pieces will regroup and use the Trinity Laser again before breaking apart once more. Remember to focus down one piece at a time until it's defeated, saving the head for last.

Trinity Armor Prizes:

  • Power Up: Maximum HP Up
  • Command Style: Bladecharge
  • Item: Disney Town Pass

Post-Battle Exploration & Castle Town

After the Trinity Armor fight, Aqua needs to head back to the Central Square. This means going through the Aqueduct and Fountain Court areas again. Keep an eye out for these items:

  • Aqueduct (early): HI-POTION
  • Aqueduct (end): BLOCK RECIPE, THUNDARA, HI-POTION
  • Aqueduct (sticker): Look for a ledge to jump from and swing your Keyblade to grab the DONUT STICKER.
  • Fountain Court (north-east corner): Two chests containing a SOOTHING CRYSTAL and the COUNTER BLAST.
  • Fountain Court (below chests): Defeat the Blue Sea Salts here to spawn Prize Pods.

As you enter the Castle Town area, you'll meet Merlin. Don't miss the FLOWER STICKER near the save point. It's also a good time to visit the shop and grab any new commands you might need. Head into Merlin's House, interact with the book to unlock a new Command Board, and open the chest for XEHANORT'S REPORT 3. After that, return to the Central Square for a surprise!

Masked Boy Boss Fight

Next up is the Masked Boy. This guy is pretty aggressive, but his weaknesses make him manageable.

Masked Boy Stats & Weaknesses:

  • Health Points: 550
  • Strength: 14
  • Defense: 6
  • Status Resistance: Susceptible to Stun, Freeze, Ignite, Poison, Sleep, Zero Gravity, and Magnet.
  • Elemental Weaknesses: None (all x 1.0)

Strategy: Since he's weak to so many status effects, equip Ignite, Poison, Magnet, Blizzard, and Cure. Start the fight with Ignite, then switch to a more defensive stance. His attacks include:

  • Sliding Dash: You can block this with Barrier.
  • Crawling Fire: This is slow-moving but should also be blocked.
  • Lightning Bolt: He'll jump high into the air for this one, so dodge it.
  • Counter-Attack: He sometimes leaves an after-image and warps behind you, so be ready to guard.

It's not too hard to dodge his attacks, and when you do, he's left open for combos or magic. Magnet is great for suspending him in the air, Poison and Ignite can chip away at his health, and Blizzard has a chance to Freeze him. If you need to heal, wait for him to finish an attack and dodge before you try to cast Cure, or you might get hit by that Lightning Bolt!

Masked Boy Prizes:

  • Power Up: Deck Capacity +1
